You see, these windows are covered from the outside with a sheet of plexiglass. The plexiglass panels have become cloudy and scratched through the ages and are in need of nice, new sheets. The windows need professionally cleaned to remove all the mold swirls and the missing lead lines, between legs, fingers and panes. New clear coverings are needed, so that they can ignite the area again with a holy awe! But, due to the cost of huge sheets of the material, the church has not been able to put up new ones.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIts also the reason that this particular collection is so rare. These particular canvases hold each of the windows present flaws and missing panes. Once the windows are restored completely, getting images again like these will be impossible. We are capturing them in their very last breaths before they are, in faith, rescued as Peter was before he went totally under!
